Capturing moments of days like these, for people like Hayley + Josh, make me feel so lucky. These two exuded love and joy and being a part of their big day, I couldn’t help but feel that love and joy myself. Close knit families, coming together to support their children in love as they become one. Surrounded by their loved ones, under a huge tree budding it’s spring leaves, with the prettiest flowers in hand and white tents in the background, and a look of pure joy spreading across the grooms face as his bride walked toward him. It was a perfect day. The stormy weather even held off so we could have those beautiful blue skies. So happy for these two to have a beautiful life shared together. Here’s some sweet moments + adorable details from their wedding day.Comments
This weekend we took a little trip to sunny Grapevine, Texas. Christine + Mike are so incredibly smitten with one another, it almost felt like instead of a photo shoot, they were just on a date and didn’t even know I was tagging along with my camera, which made for the most adorable, candid photos. They made my job so easy!! Their love is so beautiful and we had so much fun capturing these moments. To say I’m excited for their wedding next month is an understatement. Here’s their sneak at some of the photos coming their way!Comments
Around the Holidays especially, I like making things with my hands. Whether it be knitting, decorating our wrapping paper or my new love; working with air dry clay. I found 5lbs of this stuff on amazon for less than $10 and with amazon prime it got here in 2 short days, which gave me plenty of time to make fun, crafty gifts for friends, and new ornaments for our tree! Here are a few of the things I made, with plenty of clay still left over.
REFILLABLE TEA LIGHT CANDLE HOLDERS: I absolutely love this idea i found from Gathering Beauty. They have the whole step by step process, and although mine didn’t turn out quite as perfect, it was still a ton of fun to do!! I opted to paint mine two-tone colors to give it a little extra modern feel.
These make adorable little gifts, and I had so much fun playing santa claus and delivering them to friends this week. These little cuties make great desk decor standing alone, or look adorable grouped together. I even used my feather ornaments as package decoration. I got the inspiration for the feathers here.
Here’s a few of the ornaments we created with our clay this weekend. And when I say “we” I mean, Jared hung out and watched me, while i did it. haha. The letter ornaments were inspired by A Pair of Pairs. The simple round ornaments were inspired by Kelli Murray on A Beautiful Mess. This style of ornament is so simple and they have such a variety of ideas of how to decorate them.
Let me know if you have ever played with air dry clay before. I would love to know what you’ve created. Next I think i’ll try making these gold jewelry bowls I found on Wit and Delight. Merry Christmas and Happy Creating. xx
